Okay, first off I want to give a great shout out to

and

for doing my interview, which I turned in today and thanks to you guys I passed the class with flying colors.

All I needed to do was turn in the paper in order to pass but now since I have my interviews in there I'll do even better. Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you so much.
On that note I would like to state that next Tuesday will officially be my last day of school. No more boring Anthropology and no more English classes. *tears of joy* Unfortunately I also have to get in a summer school course. I need 2 units in order to become a Junior in college and transfer to Calstate Fullerton (which currently only excepts Junior transfers). I still don't know if I want to go to Calstate Fullerton, but I've heard great things about their art program so I guess it wouldn't hurt.

It was my dad's birthday last Saturday. He is now 54 years of age and still young. For his birthday Mom and I got his truck detailed, we decided to split the bill since I came up with the idea and she wanted to pitch in. Unfortunately I never got to see dad's face when he found out we were going to do that for him since mom told him when I wasn't around. That's a bummer though since that's my favorite part about giving gifts.
So my dad as king decided where we were going to eat and what we were going to do for the day. He chose to have a "Sam Fest." The Sam Fest is a family LAN run through of the game Serious Sam. Which is so awesome... the problem is that it was our first time playing the game fully and now we are all hooked on it. XD Oh well, I'm sure will beat it soon. Currently I really want to play the game on one player, because with multiplayer you don't get to involved with the plot.
For dinner my dad decided to take us to this authentic chinese restaurant, which was cool. I personally dislike chinese food and find it too bland, but that's what he wanted. The good thing though is that I've finally figured out what I want on the menu there, and since my dad and mom love to eat chinese, now I'll know what to order when we go there.
After dinner we decided to go see a movie. We were debating between seeing Speed Racer or Forbidden Kingdom, but once we looked at the reviews for Speed Racer the choice wasn't all that difficult. A half a star out of 4 whole one's isn't very promising. And the critics didn't love to much. I think the movie will be more for fans then anything else... I still might find myself going to see it this week since the movie theater near my house charges only $4 to get in before noon. I'm sure making that much of a sacrifice won't be a problem.
After that we basically went home and continued our Serious Sam Fest until 3 in the morning. XD at which we decided to put the game on pause until the next day. Great now I have two big addicitions. Working on my new cintiq (which was a bitch to install) and playing Serious Sam.
I still have to manage to make time to study for my finals and most definately free up a day this weekend so I can hang out with

she sent me a text on my dad's b-day wanting to hang out and I couldn't do it for obvious reasons. It's funny how she manages to ask me at the perfect time. I really really want to go hang out with her and my other friends. My biggest fear though is that when I go hang out with them I end up spending a lot of money. Oh well, I need to do that this week anyway so I can get

something good for her birthday. Unfortunately the the things she asked for are a bit hard for me to find, but hopefully I'll manage.

Forbidden Kingdom was all that I expected it to be, great. I suggest everyone go out and support this wonderful combination of Jackie Chan and Jet Li. Especially since they do a lot of fanfaring in the movie. This gets a
5 out of 5 from me.
I think my judgements may be a little fangirlish because I still can't get over the fact that Jet Li and Jackie Chan were fighting each other in the movie and the fight scene was amazing, you could tell they worked together on it, because there was a bit of both Jackie Chan's and Jet Li's style during the fight scene. Jackie has a tendancy to make a lot of humorous gestures and make the fighters focus on an outside problem or a physical item while fighting and Jet Li tends to be a bit brutal with his fights and they are a lot more serious. I'm not going to say who wins it though. You'll just have to see. XD
Character wise the story was amazing. Every character was unique and I actually found myself loving every one of them. It was a nice change for Jet Li who had two characters in the movie and both were a little different from his usual roles which made you "WTF" and smile at the same time. His first appearance throws you for a bit of a loop though. Cause during a fight his picking fun at his opponents and laughing at them.
The female roles were amazing as well. I kept finding myself going gaga over the witch of the wolves's hair because she used it as a weapon and it always was flying behind her like she was standing in front of the fan. I'll admit I had a hard time not noticing her... even though she was a bad guy. Personality wise she likable as well, solely because all you knew about her was that she was extremely goal oriented. The female lead was also very amazing... it weirded me out that she talked about herself in a poetic third person though, but she was one hell of a badass and even though a bit of a relationship develops between her and the main character it doesn't distract from the plot at all and it gets little focus, which is definately good.
The main character was also fun. The actor threw me off a bit because he looks so much like Shai Lebouf (sp?), but I think his voice is more likeable so it didn't really matter. Character wise though it was cute. He was basically the kung fu fanboy, who basically new his place in life. It was fun to watch him go through training with Jackie Chan and Jet Li in order to learn Kung Fu (especially since those two were always fighting over him and picking on him at the same time) and when he was able to kick ass they made sure that his abilities would come out realistically like any person would... meaning they would suck as beginners. Still he kicked ass even when he was losing.
Plot wise and setting wise it was beautiful. It was basically a giant folklore tale and everything was so surreal. I loved the way things were set and how big many of the places looked. The story was fun to watch since basically this main character who can't fight for a damn has suddenly become "The Chosen One." It was hilarious.
Now I have to touch on the sound effects and the music because the theater I went to had them cranked up so high that my mom had to cover her ears most of the fighting scenes. Music wise it was great. I know it was great, because I didn't focus on it. Music is supposed to give a feeling to a movie an since I don't remember the music that played that means I was more focused on the scene and the music blended so well with the scene that I couldn't hear it. I could however hear the sound effects which made me listen with awe. They were great sound effects that made the fightscenes in the movie (especially when they were usuing their supernatural powers) sound more dangerous.
I definately recommend this movie to all who haven't scene it. If you're like me you'll really enjoy how well this movie was made, and if your a big Jackie Chan and Jet Li fan, don't panic when you find yourself squealing like a fangirl at their fight scene... which doesn't really hit you until the middle of it. My brother got so into the plot that he said he though of the characters fighting and it hit him somewhere during the fight that these two great martial artists were actually fighting each other. I have to believe that that fight was a bit of a bitch to coreograph. Especially since both Jackie Chan and Jet Li coreograph their own fights in their own movies.

But yeah, I actually can see how Shinn won. Her story made you want more and the way it flowed was a lot better.
I think it was because she didn't really care about the numbers of panels as much which is what I think I should have done. It would have come out better otherwise.
